Utilizing the Waldotronics' Spud 2 buffer is a great way to start your guitar signal.  This buffer is unity gain, and converts your guitar's high impedance signal to a low impedance signal, greatly reducing signal loss down stream in your guitar cables/pedals.  Housed in a solid enclosure.
